Our Practice

Our optometric practice opened in Mission Viejo in 1992. Our longevity and success has been a result of word-of-mouth referrals, and a constant quest for excellence in patient service and satisfaction. By staying current through medical continuing education, staff training, new technology, and the latest in optical lenses, eyewear, and contact lenses, we hope to provide you with the finest eye care available.

Dr. Floyd is a careful listener and always takes time to explain examination procedures as well as treatment options for her patients.  Known for her wonderfully relaxed manner and superior skills, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from California State University at Long Beach, and her Doctorate in Optometry from the prestigious Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton.  She is continually educating herself and her wonderful staff in the latest diagnostic technology and treatment options for ocular and vision conditions to provide you and your family with the most advanced and personalized eye care.

She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association, and the Orange County Optometric Society where she served as president and was awarded optometrist of the year for Orange County for two consecutive  years.  She also received the California Young Optometrist of the Year Award for  her commitment to expand the scope of optometrists in California to allow them  to practice to the full extent of their training, and to provide more accessible care for their patients.

Dr. Floyd has participated in State Board examinations for optometry students, served as an item writer for the California State Board Exam and has participated in clinical studies for various contact lens companies including Allergan and Alcon.  In addition, she serves on the Orange County NVision Laser Eye Center Advisory Board.

When she is not at work, attending training, or attending meetings at one of the many professional organizations of which she is a member, Dr. Floyd enjoys an active life with her husband Dr. David Sendrowski, a tenured professor at the Southern California College of Optometry, and their two cats Roxy and Zozo. She enjoys music and had the privilege of playing in the Rose Parade with her high school marching band. Dr. Floyd also enjoys reading, watching movies, especially science fiction, and hiking in the beautiful south county area.
